Short biography:

Dr. Sandín-España obtained a degree in Chemical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and completed his PhD in Agricultural Chemistry at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). She is currently Research Scientist and Head of the Chemistry Research Group in the Unit of Plant Protection Products at the Spanish National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA-CSIC). Her research focuses on the environmental behavior of pesticides and emerging contaminants, particularly their transformation products, degradation processes, chiral compounds, QSAR modeling, and the development of analytical methods for residue determination in environmental matrices. She has also investigated the effects of drinking water treatments on pesticides. Dr. Sandín-España has participated in numerous national and international research projects, co-supervised doctoral theses, and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. She serves as reviewer and Editorial Board member for several international SCI journals and regularly collaborates in scientific evaluation activities and international training courses.
