OVERVIEW

Founded in 1997, Global NEST is an independent scholarly publisher dedicated to advancing high-quality, open-access research in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, and the circular economy. Through its flagship publication, the Global NEST Journal (GNEST), Global NEST promotes the free exchange of scientific knowledge while supporting researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry worldwide.

Global NEST is committed to providing rigorous, peer-reviewed, fully open-access publishing under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), ensuring that scientific knowledge is freely accessible without subscription barriers. The publisher maintains high editorial and ethical standards through an international Editorial Board and a global network of editors, reviewers, and scientific experts.

The Global NEST Journal publishes original research articles, review papers, short communications, and special issues covering a broad range of topics, including environmental engineering, water and wastewater management, air pollution, waste management, circular economy, renewable energy, climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental modelling, environmental biotechnology, ecosystem management, sustainable development, and emerging environmental technologies.

Beyond scholarly publishing, Global NEST serves as a platform for scientific networking and international collaboration. It is the organizer of the International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST), one of Europe's longest-running and most established environmental conferences, bringing together leading researchers, academics, industry representatives, and policymakers from around the world since 1989.

Global NEST is also the organizer of the PLASYS – International Conference on Plastic and Environmental Sustainability, an international forum dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and innovative solutions for plastics, circular economy, and sustainable materials management.

Together, the Global NEST Journal, CEST, and PLASYS form an integrated international scientific community that promotes the dissemination of cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge exchange across academia, industry, governmental organizations, and international institutions. This network provides researchers with opportunities to publish high-quality research, present their work at internationally recognized conferences, establish collaborations, and contribute to addressing global environmental challenges.

Over the past two decades, Global NEST has grown into a respected international publisher and scientific organization, serving authors, reviewers, and readers from more than 100 countries. Its publications are indexed in major international scientific databases, ensuring broad visibility and global dissemination of published research. By integrating scientific publishing with internationally recognized conferences and an active global network of environmental professionals, Global NEST continues to foster scientific excellence and support evidence-based solutions for a more sustainable future.
